Somebody should tell Rihanna that she keeps wearing clothes that are meant for inside outside.
The 26-year-old "Diamonds" singer went to a New York City nightclub on Wednesday wearing a small black bra top and roomy white boxer shorts.
Yep, it was pretty much underwear that she uniquely paired with high-heeled sandals, an oversized dark denim jacket, and deep purple lipstick.
The Barbadian beauty — who is back from Detroit, where she had been rehearsing with Eminem for their upcoming Monster tour — wore the ensemble to Manhattan's VIP Room, where she attended R&B singer Jeremih's "Don't Tell Em" single release party. And, despite recent brushes with a stalker in NYC, she seemed to be in a good mood as she arrived, even snapping a selfie with an excited fan.
While a report said that "temperatures soared" in NYC Wednesday night, necessitating the barely-there outfit, it was actually a high of 80 degrees and dropped down to 62 at night, when this photo was taken. So, basically, Rihanna just wanted to wear underwear out to a club, and that's her prerogative.
This isn't the first time the songstress has made a fashion statement like this. Earlier this month, she wore lingerie as a dress while out in downtown NYC. She paired the bright pink, floor-length negligee, which had a lace neckline, with a different jean jacket and black Converse sneakers.
But, hey, she is a Good Girl Gone Bad. You have to expect things that are slightly racy and out of the ordinary. That's how RiRi rolls.
